The results are in. Once again, we were blown away by the submissions for our latest Good Dog Photo Contest. We’ve been diligently going through hundreds of picture-filled e-mails of your dogs hunting, swimming, sleeping, fetching, riding in the car, and, well, just being good dogs.

After looking at each photo and dividing the dogs into four categories—Dogs at Rest, Dogs at Play, Dogs Being Dogs, and Dogs in the Field & on the Water—we have chosen a winner, as well as several honorable mentions, within each category. The choices were incredibly tough, but the winners for this round of the Good Dog Photo Contest are:

Dogs at Rest: Julep, a bluetick coonhound from Peachtree City, Georgia
Dogs at Play: Sadie, a vizsla from Ocala, Florida
Dogs Being Dogs: Deep Run Rearden of Shadowlawn (aka Hank), a yellow Labrador retriever from Virginia Beach, Virginia
Dogs in the Field & on the Water: Blake’s Hot-Banded Mallard (aka Mally), a Boykin spaniel from Clemson, South Carolina

The winning dogs will each receive a G&G prize pack to share with their loyal owners. To see the winners along with the top 100 dogs in each category, check out the galleries below, and a big thank-you to everyone who shared their images with us. If your dog’s photo didn’t make it this time, not to worry. Stay tuned for the Best of the Rest, coming in a few weeks! And make sure to give all of these good dogs a scratch behind the ears for us.
