The Picnic Boat

Going out for a sunset cruise on a Hinckley Picnic boat is a luxurious endeavor, but beneath the teak and cherry the Picnic is a hard-core craft. First launched in the early nineties, the original made waves for its jet propulsion technology, which allowed for a quiet ride, tight turns, and the ability to navigate shallows a prop drive could never attempt. Now, nearly twenty years later, there’s a new 36-foot Picnic on the water. As always, each one is custom, and the 1920s-inspired silhouette remains very much the same, with the exception of a raised pilothouse deck and a deeper V hull. Most important, it holds a whopping eleven people for a booze cruise. $875,000; hinckleyyachts.com
