Kiln, Mississippi
Kiln is known as the bootleg capital of Mississippi and the hometown of serial retiree Brett Favre. But it’s also home to the first microbrewery in the state, Lazy Magnolia, which claims to brew Southern tradition. Terrapin Beer Company
Athens, Georgia
Though Terrapin sells its popular standards throughout the Southeast, it’s the list of limited-edition specialty brews that really blows minds. Visit the brewery in Athens to try one of these so-called side projects. Examples include a dark Belgian stout known as the Dark Side, and Capt’n Krunkles, a black IPA. terrapinbeer.com

Cigar City Brewing 
Tampa, Florida
