The Bandana Reinvented

I've always liked bandanas. They make great napkins, they're inexpensive, they come in a million colors, and if you fold them just right, they're suddenly very chic kerchiefs or headbands for the beach.

Also, like blue jeans, there is a certain rustic Southerness about them.

As fashion however, bandanas aren't always interpreted in the most stylish way. I think Elly May Clampett had a bandana blouse, for example.

That's exactly why it's refreshing to find someone taking the idea and doing something incredibly wonderful with it in the form of a dress (below).

 

 

                        

 

It's by Calypso St. Barth and it's what I'll be wearing come Fourth of July. Festive, no?
