The previous Sporting South caption contest was such a roaring success we’re having another. So get your number two pencils sharpened and your editor’s chair at the ready.



The rules are simple: write a caption in the comments box for the above photo. It can be long, short, funny or straight. But funny ALWAYS wins. Enter as many times as you’d like.

The winner will receive a Garden & Gun hat and dog collar, plus whatever other goodies I can wrestle from the promotions department. I’ll announce the winner on our Facebook page on December 16.

For the record, the photo was taken during a marsh hen hunt with my dog Pritchard. We were motoring between spots.
