If you're like us, and we have a feeling you are, you made a promise to travel more in 2013. That's why we think you'll find the story of G&G contributing photographer Ben Gately Williams so inspiring. For over 10+ years this adventure-hungry photographer has been dreaming of riding across America—on bicycle. This past summer he decided it was time to hang up the dream catcher and fire away.

Starting on the east coast, Ben spent his days clocking about 120 miles a day (riding an average of nine hours a day) until he arrived in San Diego, California. After the two months of cycling he bought a motorcycle, rode up the coast to Oregon then spent the next 3.5 weeks cruising back across the county at his leisure.
