Any Southerner worth his or her grits knows that while New York City may be the capital of food festivals, nothing compares to the edible offerings at the state fairs back home.
Which is why CITY GRIT founder Sarah Simmons, whose regular Mott Street Southern-skewed "culinary salons" bring together the best chefs, purveyors, winemakers, and all-around tastemakers, is hosting a dinner focused solely on fair fare next Tuesday, October 25. WHAT: CITY GRIT is bringing the fair to you by turning your favorite fair treats into a multi-course meal with an amazing CITY GRIT twist on funnel cakes, candied apples, fried cheese on a stick and more.
WHEN: Tuesday, October 25th at 7:30
WHERE: 38 Prince (between Mott and Mulberry)
PRICE: $45 for a multi-course meal. Wines and beers will be available for purchase.
