Together, through the pages of the magazine this past year, we explored the barbecue back roads of west Tennessee, bellied up at the best bars in Dixie, traveled way south to Havana and Guyana (rod and reel in tow), and sat down with Southern notables including Morgan Freeman and Sissy Spacek.
