The Southern Invasion of NYC
Garden & Gun celebrates the April/May 2010 City Portrait with a party in New York City
Ted Lee, Sid Evans, and Matt Lee
As the April/May 2010 issue hit newsstands, Garden & Gun took New York City by storm in more ways than one. The issue features the Southern Invasion of NYC – a piece written about the growing influence of the South in the Big Apple. And in true Southern style, Garden & Gun celebrated in the city with bourbon, blues, and boiled peanuts. Everyone from some of our favorite artists, writers, and designers to media colleagues, New York-area Club members, and friends of the magazine gathered at Billy Reid’s store on Bond Street for Southern infused tastes and tunes. No matter the geographical coordinates, bourbon-mint iced tea and the Lee Brothers’ famous boiled peanuts always make a winning recipe for a damn good party.
