Tall Timbers
Tall Timbers Research Station & Land Conservancy fosters exemplary land stewardship through research, conservation and education. Our primary research focus is the ecology of fire and natural resource management including bobwhite quail and other wildlife in the southeastern coastal plain. Our conservation efforts are dedicated to helping protect the distinctive Red Hills landscape of south Georgia and north Florida, and its traditional land uses. Tall Timbers will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2008.

The Aiken Horse Show
Established by the famous Mrs. Thomas Hitchcock in 1916, the Aiken Horse Show in the Woods remains one of the foremost equestrian competitions in Aiken. The event has retained its rustic charm, but in recent decades it has become one of the most elegant affairs in Aiken’s lively sporting calendar. This prestigious and popular event is Hitchcock Woods Foundation’s signature fundraiser. This year’s event takes place April 4 to 6.
