2018 Made in the South Weekend
November 9–11, Garden & Gun partnered with Volvo Car USA to host the Made in the South Weekend in celebration of the 2018 Made in the South Awards. Friday events featured a VIP Meet and Greet with Amanda Shires at the home of G&G CEO Rebecca Darwin, followed by the Kickoff Concert at Charleston Music Hall with Amanda Shires and Aaron Lee Tasjan. On Saturday, guests gathered at the G&G headquarters in the Cigar Factory for the Meet the Makers event, which included discussion panels, a Made in the South Marketplace with the 2018 Award finalists, and plenty of food and drink. Saturday evening concluded with a celebratory Awards Dinner honoring the 2018 Made in the South Awards finalists with a menu by chef Asha Gomez and cocktails by Miles Macquarrie at the historic Aiken Rhett House . The weekend concluded with Sunday’s Garden & Gun Club Brunch at the Dewberry and a GG Fieldshop pop-up shop.
