A twist on the Sno-Ball with Amaretto, sour cherry syrup, and white rum
photo: Johnny Autry
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. Luxardo sour cherry syrup
3/4 oz. amaretto (Gullo prefers Luxardo)
2 oz. white rum
Shake lime juice, syrup, amaretto, and rum with ice in a cocktail shaker, and strain half the mixture onto a mound of shaved ice. Add more ice, and pour the remaining half. Garnish with a drizzle of condensed milk and a cherry.
Cocktail recipe from Abigail Gullo of Sobou in New Orleans, Louisiana
Note: If you don’t want to spring for Luxardo syrup, you can buy jarred Luxardo cherries at online retailers like Amazon, and use that syrup.
