Bourbon Heritage Dinner

A celebration of America’s spirit at Lookout Mountain’s newest hotel

Together with Louisville Tourism, Garden & Gun hosts a festive gathering in celebration of Bourbon Heritage Month. With sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the greater Chattanooga region, guests are invited to Lookout Mountain’s newest hotel, Cloudland at McLemore Resort, for an alfresco cocktail hour and seated dinner prepared by Louisville chef Noam Bilitzer of Meesh Meesh,  restaurant. In between chef’s Mediterranean-inspired courses, Kentucky’s first female master distiller Marianne Eaves leads guests through tastings of Forbidden bourbon.

Born in central Israel in a small K’far, Noam was drawn to fresh ingredients and cooking from an early age. After graduating from Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, NC, he went on to work in kitchens in Boston, Chicago, Charleston, and now Louisville. Noam has competed multiple times on the Food Network and in 2018 won Food Network’s  “Chopped”. He draws inspiration from his global heritage and cooks with an overall focus on flavor and sustainability. In late 2023 Noam opened his first restaurant Meesh Meesh Mediterranean in Louisville where he incorporates flavors from the Levant region.

Marianne Eaves is Kentucky’s first female Bourbon Master Distiller since Prohibition. Born in Tennessee and raised in Kentucky, Eaves followed her love of math and science to pursue a degree in chemical engineering at University of Louisville. She became the first woman to earn the title of Master Distiller with Castle & Key Distillery. Eaves has been recognized in Whiskey Advocate Magazine as “the Next Generation” for the bourbon industry and has been included in Forbes’ Food & Drink 30 under 30 list and Wine Enthusiast’s 40 Under 40 Tastemakers list. In May 2023, Eaves launched her label, Forbidden Bourbon.
