G&G presents its second International Sporting Excursion—a unique cultural and sporting trip taking place this year in London and its surrounding countryside.


ITINERARY

Sunday, October 14:
Arrival to London and Welcome

Mid-afternoon: A private tour at historic Spencer House, arguably the finest house in London, built in 1756 for the first Earl Spencer, ancestor of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Evening: An intimate cocktail hour and welcome dinner in the Stafford Hotel’s 380-year-old wine cellar.

 

Monday, October 15:
An Afternoon & Evening with Lord Watson

Morning: Enjoy the morning at leisure.

Afternoon: A private tour of the Houses of Parliament including an afternoon of tea and storytelling hosted by Lord Alan Watson of Richmond CBE, member of the House of Lords.

Evening: Dinner with Lord Watson at the Royal Automobile Club, one of the world’s most pre-eminent members’ clubs.

 

Tuesday, October 16:
On to the Countryside of Wiltshire

Morning: Explore London at your leisure before traveling to the market town of Henley-on-Thames. Discover the historic town’s independent antique and book stores, chocolate shops, art galleries, and more. A traditional pub lunch in the heart of town follows.

Afternoon: Continue to Lucknam Park, a gorgeous 500-acre estate in Wiltshire and our accommodations for the next three nights. Enjoy the estate’s on-site amenities, ranging from horseback riding and croquet to Afternoon Tea. Individual activities costs are not included.

Evening: Dinner is in the contemporary-styled brasserie at Lucknam Park.

 

Wednesday, October 17:
Divide & Conquer 

Hunting Group – A Day at West Wycombe Estate:

Experience the best of driven shooting with a day at West Wycombe Estate—a 5,000-acre estate in the scenic rolling hills of Buckinghamshire—one of the top shoots in England. The day will be comprised of four drives total, led by the estate’s expert guides.

Between the morning drives, indulge in true British sporting fashion with a brief intermission featuring soup and Champagne or Sloe Gin.  An outstanding three-course lunch is offered  by the estate chef with wine pairings. Following a post-lunch drive, the group returns to Lucknam Park.

Touring Option – Georgian Bath

Morning: An expert-guided leisurely walking tour of Bath. Learn about the town’s history, its noteworthy Georgian architecture, and the curing properties that its spas have been known for since Roman times. Enjoy lunch as a group at the elegant Pump Room overlooking the baths.

Afternoon: Make your way back to Lucknam Park or spend the afternoon exploring Bath independently.

Evening: A private dining affair takes place at the Michelin-starred restaurant located in the Manor House, an atmospheric country house hotel located in Castle Combe.

 

Thursday, October 18:
A Day in the Southern Cotswolds

Travel through the Southern Cotswolds, starting with beautiful Castle Combe. Soak up the charm and rich history of this infamous village at leisure.

The next stop is Tetbury—a historic town known for its involvement in the Cotswolds wool trade.

Continue the day with an exclusive tour of the Badminton House and Estate followed by a private lunch.

En route back to Lucknam Park, a final stop takes place in Malmesbury, England’s oldest borough, with a guided tour through the stunning 12th Century Abbey.

Evening: A memorable finale dinner experience in the Music Room at Lucknam Park rounds out the trip.

Departure


The G&G Event Package is based on double-occupancy for 5 nights, October 14 arrival and October 19 departure:

– $6,670 per person not hunting
– $3,775 additional per person hunting

Note: Flights and travel insurance are not included in package. Space for the hunt at West Wycombe is limited.
