Job Opening: Copywriter

The person will be part of Garden & Gun’s Creative Services and Integrated Marketing team

Garden & Gun Magazine is looking for a top-notch copywriter to join our Creative Services and Integrated Marketing team. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent writing and grammatical skills, creativity, and attention to detail. Experience as a copywriter for an advertising agency or magazine is highly preferred. This role will report to the Associate Publisher and work closely with the Creative Services team.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Writing clear, concise, and effective copy for media partnerships such as advertorials and other custom content

• Writing proposals and new business pitches

• Preparing product decks, case studies, and other marketing collateral

• Writing copy for social media posts, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in partnership with sponsors

• Developing clear, creative, and engaging event collateral such as invitation copy, signage, and photo captions

• Preparing written copy that adheres to a clear and consistent brand voice

• Managing external copy assignments, as well as a list of freelance copywriters

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• BA/BS degree in marketing, journalism, or communications with emphasis on writing is preferred

• Ability to write with impeccable spelling and grammar

• Experience in a copywriting role with an ad agency or magazine

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Self-motivated and organized
