Congratulations to this year’s winner: Komet, a 10-year-old English springer spaniel from Atlanta. According to his owner, Phillip Walker, Komet’s favorite place to be is the great outdoors, whether he’s tagging along on a fishing trip or just checking out the scenery while riding shotgun. The winning photo, snapped by Rawson Livezey, was taken while Komet was hanging out with some pals at the Sawnee Dog Retreat in Douglasville, where he’s often first in line when treats are involved. “I think Komet had just eaten the treat and was licking his chops,” Walker says.
