Creole Cocktail
From Chris Hannah of the French 75 Bar, New Orleans, Louisiana
Ingredients
½ oz. Italian vermouth (Hannah uses Punt e Mes)
½ oz. Amer Picon (or amaro)
½ oz. Bénédictine liqueur
1 ½ oz. rye whiskey
Lemon twist (for garnish)
Preparation
Combine first four ingredients in a mixing glass. Fill glass with ice and, using a long bar spoon, stir fifty-seven times to properly chill the spirits. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
