Highlands Insider: A G&G Conservation Weekend
An immersive outdoor weekend on the Highlands plateau.
This exclusive weekend package offers ten guests unparalleled access to the landscapes, waterways, and conservation stories that define the Highlands plateau.
The experience begins Friday evening with sunset welcome drinks at Skyline Lodge. On Saturday morning, guests meet past Champion of Conservation JJ Apodaca at a private mountain lease for a full morning of guided fly-fishing in stocked waters with Brookings Anglers. Midday, the Highlands Performing Arts Center hosts a private screening of the Riverkeeper documentary and a Q&A with Director Jason Goldman and Dr. Jackie Echols. Later, the group gathers at Highlands Supper Club for an Evening with the Champions of Conservation where editor in chief David DiBenedetto hosts a panel discussion with the 2026 honorees, followed by a collaborative dinner by chefs William Dissen and Aaron Kulzer. The weekend wraps on Sunday with a private guided hike through protected land of the Highlands plateau, followed by brunch at the Highlands Biological Station with director Jason Love.
Designed for those seeking a deeper connection to the destination, this curated weekend offers firsthand access to the region’s biodiverse waterways, conservation efforts, and outdoor traditions—alongside the opportunity to celebrate the 2026 Champions of Conservation with G&G.
Plan your stay for the event and enjoy a preferred rate at Skyline Lodge and Trailborn Highlands.
