We challenged the extreme-milkshake gurus at the Yard Milkshake Bar (they got started in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and now have six shops across the South) to come up with an over-the-top frozen concoction to make—and devour—after a long, hot day at the beach. And boy, did they deliver. Behold, the S’mOREO!

(P.S. The Yard Milkshake Bar will be offering the S’mOREO on its “secret menu” (shhh…). Stop in and slurp one down if you’re in the area!)

Ingredients

  • Milkshake Ingredients

    • 1⁄2 gallon of cookies and cream ice cream

    • 1 cup milk

    • Chocolate syrup

    • Vanilla icing

    • Chocolate icing

    • Oreos

    • Graham crackers

    • Whipped cream

    • Mini marshmallows

Preparation

  1. Whip it up:

Step 1: Add 1⁄2 gallon of cookies and cream ice cream and 1 cup of milk to a blender. Blend until smooth.

  2. Step 2: Drizzle chocolate syrup all over the inside of a mason jar.

  3. Step 3: Spread vanilla icing over half of the rim of the mason jar. Dip that half of the rim in crushed Oreos.

  4. Step 4: Spread chocolate icing over the other half of the jar’s rim. Dip that side in crushed graham cracker crumbs.

  5. Step 5: Pour milkshake into the mason jar.

  6. Step 6: Top with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, crushed Oreos, and graham cracker crumbs.

  7. Extra credit:
    Make a s’more topper!

In a microwave-safe bowl, heat a couple of broken-up chocolate bars for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted.

Break a graham cracker in half. Smear marshmallow fluff on one half and top with the other half of the graham.

Dip one flat side of this graham cracker “sandwich” in melted chocolate and place on a foil-lined baking sheet (chocolate side up!) in the freezer until solid.

Then dip the other side in melted chocolate and freeze one more time. Slide a Popsicle stick into the marshmallow filling and perch it on top of your milkshake masterpiece.
