Cumberland Island
The gift shop there is fabulous—everything from tea towels to Moroccan slippers to beautiful wraps, jute bags, locally sourced honeys. They also have my jewelry collection. It’s all beautifully curated by the manager, Tressa, and my sister-in-law, Mary Jo Ferguson.
Amelia Island (Florida)
The Saturday farmers’ market is my favorite place to go in Fernandina Beach. I can get on the eight o’clock boat from Cumberland and run to the market right off Centre Street. You can buy ten pounds of fresh shrimp right off the boat, and the produce is amazing. There are amazing dumplings, music, teas, spices, homemade guacamole—there’s just something really happy about it.
St. Simons Island
They have an incredible array of children’s books, history books, and lots of local writers, with a wonderful coffee shop connected to it. It feels very cozy, easy, and I just love getting a cup of coffee and wandering around in there. There’s always something new I can find about the history of the island.
Tibi is my go-to clothing shop. I have silk tops and dresses from Tibi that I bought fifteen years ago that I still get compliments on. Her designs are timeless. I have a black satin top that I reach for when I can’t figure out what to wear for a dressy night-before-a-wedding type of thing. It’s got a shape almost like petals on a flower at the bottom.
Viola’s is a wonderful, eclectic store right across from ours in Redfern Village. I love their sense of taste—it’s somewhat bohemian. They sell beautiful table settings, unique Christmas ornaments, local art, candles, that kind of thing.
I’m excited about all of my rings right now—I’m getting asked a lot about bands like I did for Carolyn [Bessette Kennedy] and John [F. Kennedy Jr.]—but of course I won’t do them just like that. But we’re doing loads of rattlesnake rib rings with stones, which is what my wedding ring is, in gold.

Stacia Clay Studio
All of my mugs and plates and bowls are designed by Stacia Hendricks, who was the head naturalist on Little St. Simons. She incorporates a lot of nature’s designs. To hold her mug—it’s just anatomically perfect. She does bowls for kids that say Please Don’t Pass the Peas and there are little peas embossed in the bowls. She does beautiful vases and pitchers for wedding gifts. I know people who have collected her for years. By appointment only: 912-230-8588
