G&G executes a range of events, from VIP cocktail parties to international sporting weekends. The Senior Events Manager leads the planning and execution of G&G events at the highest level, owning event budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-team logistics from concept through post-event wrap-up. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the G&G brand, is highly creative, and is highly organized.

This position reports to G&G’s Events Director and is based at our office in Charleston, South Carolina.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Partner cross-functionally with the Creative, Sales, and Marketing teams to plan and execute G&G events at the highest level

• Own the logistical components of event execution, including budgets, timelines, and vendor payments

• Develop event design concepts and mood boards in partnership with the design team

• Stay current on Southern culture, culinary, design, and event trends to keep G&G’s programming distinctive and on-brand

• Lead vendor research, contracting, and communications (rentals, florals, photography, catering, music, venues)

• Conduct site visits and evaluate venues for upcoming events

• Manage sponsor and brand partner relationships, ensuring activations align with event goals and G&G’s brand standards

• Manage event ticketing strategy and platform administration, including pricing 

• Lead talent communications and agreements (hosts, chefs, mixologists, musicians)

• Own guest communications from save-the-date through day-of logistics

• Coordinate travel and lodging for staff, executives, talent, and clients

• Ensure risk management, permitting, insurance, and safety compliance across all events

• Concept and project manage all event collateral (menus, itineraries, signage, place cards)

• Build and maintain run-of-show documents for staff, clients, partners, and vendors

• Lead post-event wrap-up, including recap meetings, vendor and talent follow-up, and guest thank-yous

• Collaborate with the marketing team to concept new event ideas and sponsorship extensions


Job requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6-8 years of event production experience

• Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for events and Southern culture, and a finger on the pulse of emerging lifestyle and hospitality trends

• Creative and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute detail-heavy projects

• Willingness to travel to events throughout the country

• Able to work well in a fast-paced team environment and present a professional demeanor

• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with InDesign and Photoshop a plus
