2021 Annual Society Gathering

Guests arrive at the beautiful, newly renovated High Hampton to kick off the Society weekend in Cashiers.

During the event’s first evening, guests connect with friends at a cocktail reception on the veranda.

Hosted in High Hampton’s private wine cellar, the cozy welcome dinner features a five-course menu with wine pairings.

On Friday, guests Amina Dearmon and Linda Walker embark on various daytime excursions, including a guided hike through the Nantahala Forest to Silver Run Falls. 

Prepared by Chef Ann Kim of the Garden & Gun Club and Chef Ed Selle of Canyon Kitchen at Lonesome Valley, smoked oyster deviled eggs are passed during cocktail hour on Friday evening.

Smoked fried quail with collard green and kimchi fried rice is a hit during Friday’s dinner. 

On Saturday, artist Dorothy Shain Henderson leads guests through a workshop titled “Art in the Elements” while overlooking High Hampton’s lake.
