As brand cultivator for Blade and Bow, a brand he’s been with since the bourbon’s launch in 2015 at the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville, Jeff Parrott spends much of his time traveling and sharing pours at events across the South and beyond. (He documents his bourbon adventures on his Instagram, where the spirits vet has built a substantial following.) Wherever his travels take him, this refreshing cocktail has proved a favorite and makes an ideal warm-weather bourbon drink.

“We wanted to create a bourbon cocktail that felt light, fresh, and approachable—especially for people who say they only drink bourbon when it’s cold outside or don’t think they like bourbon. This cocktail bridges spring and summer, and it’s a real crowd-pleaser everywhere we go. I also like to batch it and keep it on my boat for impromptu entertaining, or for places where it may not be convenient to make a cocktail.”
