10th Annual Keeneland Cocktail Brunch

On Saturday, October 16, Garden & Gun hosted its tenth annual Keeneland Cocktail Brunch at the historic Keene Place in Lexington, Kentucky. Guests celebrated the second weekend of Keeneland’s highly-anticipated Fall Meet with a signature Southern brunch, festive bourbon cocktails from Blade and Bow, mimosas featuring juices from Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company, and live music from Johnny & the Devil’s Box, followed by an exclusive view of the races from the Keeneland Clubhouse.

The tenth Annual Keeneland Cocktail Brunch is held at the historic Keene Place Mansion.

Friends of the magazine travel to Kentucky from across the country to enjoy a G&G favorite event.

Guests, including G&G Society members Julie and Greg Benefield and Sheila and Robert Pauley, arrive in style for a day at the races.

The event’s equestrian-inspired lounge, styled to complement the races.

Assorted mimosas with fresh juice from Natalie’s are served upon arrival.

Nashville’s Johnny & the Devil’s Box set the mood with their crowd-pleasing bluegrass sound.

Blade and Bow’s specialty bourbon tastings are enhanced by assorted accompaniments–including nuts, chocolates and dried fruits.

“Betologists” advise the crowd on how to bet on their race day favorites.

A decadent Southern brunch is served, including a bourbon bread pudding with vanilla bean sauce.

Blade and Bow’s Sam Burchett serves neat and on-the-rocks pours of the brand’s signature bourbon.

Friends catch up over mimosas before heading to the Keeneland Clubhouse to view the races.

Following the brunch, guests are treated to an exclusive view of the afternoon races.
