How many times per year is Garden & Gun published?
Garden & Gun is a bi-monthly publication with six issues per year.
I'm moving and need to update the address in my account, how can I do that?
You can update your address in our Subscription Services section or by calling 1-800-800-8336.
How can I purchase Garden & Gun magazine as a gift for a friend?
Our "Give a Gift" page will allow you to purchase the magazine and ship it to a separate address.
What is the Garden & Gun Subscription Refund Policy?
For orders purchased directly from the publisher: If at any time you are unhappy with your subscription, you can notify the publisher and receive a full refund for the prorated value of the issues remaining on your subscription order.
For orders that were purchased through a subscription agent: Refunds requests need to be directed to the agent.
After I subscribe, when can I expect to receive the latest Garden & Gun issue?
Typically, magazines are mailed two weeks prior to their publication date. Please contact our Subscription Services online for all your subscriber needs. Should any lingering questions remain, please call 800-800-8336.
What stores carry Garden & Gun magazine?
Most Barnes & Nobles and Books-A-Million stores, as well as national airport newsstands. Also, check your local grocery store's magazine aisle.
DIGITAL EDITION QUESTIONS
How can I purchase Garden & Gun’s digital edition?
You first should download the free Garden & Gun app from the Apple App Store. Click here to download. Once downloaded, then you can purchase individual digital issues or a one-year subscription of the magazine from within the app.
I’ve downloaded the app to my iPad, but can’t find it.
The Garden & Gun app will be stored in your iPad’s newsstand folder.
What is included with the free app downloaded from the app store?
This app gives you the ability to purchase digital issues of Garden & Gun through Apple Newsstand. You can also read and store as many digital issues as you’d like within the same app.
What is the cost for single digital issue?
Single issues of Garden & Gun are available for purchase for $5.99 through the Garden & Gun App.
What is included with the $5.99 digital issue purchase?
The digital issue includes the all the content from the print edition re-formatted and designed for the tablet, as well as bonus photos, videos, and interactive content.
When is the digital edition available for download?
The digital edition will be available the same day the print magazine is available on newsstands.
I’m a print subscriber, why do I have to pay again for a digital copy/subscription?
While similar, the two products are different. The digital edition of each issue has been redesigned for the tablet experience and includes expanded coverage—such as bonus photos, videos, and interactive features. Producing each digital issue requires additional time and expense.
Is there a combination package where I can order both print and digital at the same time?
No, not at this time. Even though there is a variety of ways to order the print edition, currently all order processing for the digital edition has to go through Apple.
Will your back issues be available digitally?
Yes. All of our back issues will eventually be available digitally.
What is the cost for a digital back issue?
You can purchase a Garden & Gun digital back issues for $5.99 though the App. We will be adding back issues to the store over the next few months.
What back issues are currently available in digital format?
Currently, all of the 2013 issues are available for purchase. As well as our premier issue from 2007. More issues will be added monthly and can be found in “Store” within your Garden & Gun App.
Can I purchase a one-year digital subscription?
A one-year (six issues) digital subscription is available though the Apple Newsstand for $14.99. Per iTunes terms and conditions each one-year subscription will automatically renewed and billed to your iTunes account unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How can I turn off the auto-renew settings?
You can manage all your auto-renewing subscriptions (including Garden & Gun) through your iTunes account. Click here for instructions.
What devices are digital issues available on?
We are available on the iPad and Android tablets via the Google Play store.
Will deleting an issue free up storage space on my iPad?
Yes. After you’ve archived or deleted an issue, you can still access it at any time by downloading it again, free of charge. Just be sure to be logged in with the same Apple ID.
How can I delete an issue?
Select the issues tab at the bottom (this is where all of your issues are located). Select, ON DEVICE. This will show you all the issues current on your iPad. If you want to delete them to free up space, tap the setting gear on the right-hand corner and select remove issues. Select which issues. you'd like to remove.
Can I share the digital issue with friends?
No. There are no share features available.
Can I just convert my print subscription over to digital?
Unfortunately, because all order processing for the digital edition is handled by Apple, you would need to cancel your current print subscription and then subscribe through the app for your digital subscription. If you cancel your print subscription, you will be refunded for the prorated amount for any un-served issues.
If you have a digital subscription, but are not seeing all the issues available for download, first make sure you have updated and the most recent version of the Garden & Gun app. Then open the G&G app (in the Newsstand app) and click "My Issues". You should see all of your purchased issues available for download. If it looks like you're missing any, tap on the settings wheels (right-hand side) and select "Missing Issues?". You'll need to enter in your Apple ID and password (make sure you use the Apple ID that you used when you purchased the subscription). After a few seconds you should see all the issues that you subscribed to with the "download" button next to them. To read an issue, you will need to download them one at a time.
If you still are having problems, from the newsstand folder delete the Garden & Gun app from your iPad (do this by holding it down until the "x" appears. tap on the "x" to delete. Then re-download the Garden & Gun app (it will be in the cloud) from the app store and follow the steps above to restore your purchases.
