Drew and Ellie Holcomb have just released their latest album, Coming Home: A Collection of Songs, which brings together both new songs from the husband-and-wife duo and some sweet favorites that speak to their connection to each other and to family. The pair shot the video for the title track, which Garden & Gun is premiering below, earlier this January in Nashville, and it showcases the radiant chemistry the two share as they face each other on a bare stage with a single microphone. The couple met while students at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and while each has navigated successful solo careers, there’s something special when they perform together.
“Our idea for this video was to match the simplicity of this song—to focus in on the characters in the narrative, two singers, connected not just by the sound of our voices but by lives interwoven together, reminiscent of old-school classic duet partners,” Drew says.
Adds Ellie: “Because we’re both artists, we have wide orbits and travel often, but we always come back home. We wanted this video to capture the essence of being at home with each other. We hope it makes everyone watching feel right at home as well.”
The pair will kick off their longest tour to date beginning February 4 in Jacksonville, Florida, and winding its way across the country before wrapping up with a March 25 show in Dallas.
