“It goes without saying that Garden & Gun readers love dogs as much as the editors do. For proof, look no further than our annual Good Dog Photo Contest. This year we received nearly 8,000 submissions and 75,000 reader votes. As always, narrowing down the entries was no easy task (I’m always a sucker for the Boykins), and it involved a number of us on the G&G team. This year’s winner is Elsa, a Labrador retriever who lives in Sandy Run, South Carolina.
