Rose Collins: A Berry French Tom Collins

A classic cocktail gets fresh

You know the Tom Collins, but meet its blushing cousin—the Rose Collins. At the Garden & Gun Club in Atlanta, the classic combination of gin, lemon, and soda gets a rich, romantic twist courtesy of Cassis Noir de Bourgogne, a deep black currant liqueur.

“This version has a hint of floral notes along with berry notes,” says Ann Kim, the G&G Club’s executive chef. The fruit-forward essence intensifies with the addition of Citadelle Rouge, a gin infused with cranberry, raspberry, blueberry, black currant, and rhubarb. The result? A cocktail that’s bright, elegant, and just a little wild—like a spring fling in Paris, non?
