Trader Vic’s Planter’s Punch
A sparkling take on an island classic.

Ingredients

2 oz. Jamaican rum (preferably Appleton, Hamilton, or Hampden)
½ oz. grenadine
1 oz. fresh lime juice (save ½ lime shell for garnish)
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
¼ tsp. sugar
Soda water to top
Preparation
Place all ingredients except soda water into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until sugar is dissolved and drink is chilled, then pour into a 12-ounce collins glass filled with cracked ice and a squeezed lime shell. Fill with soda water, stir gently, and serve with a straw. Tiny umbrella optional.
