Hot Apple Toddy

The cozy cure-all cocktail gets an apple twist

    • 1 cup high-quality apple cider

    • 2 oz. amaretto (Gullo prefers Luxardo)

    • Whiskey-spiked whipped cream (recipe below)

    • Cinnamon, to garnish

  • Whiskey-Spiked Whipped Cream

    • 1 cup heavy cream

    • 1 dash vanilla

    • 1 hefty splash whiskey—American, Irish, or even Canadian!

    • Sugar or cane syrup, to taste


  1. Add cider to a saucepan and warm it over medium heat.

  2. Add to a glass with amaretto, and garnish with whipped cream. Top with a light sprinkle of cinnamon.

  3. For the Whiskey-Spiked Whipped Cream:

    Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk or shake in a shaker tin until the cream forms light peaks. (Makes enough for 4 drinks)
