Hot Apple Toddy
The cozy cure-all cocktail gets an apple twist

Ingredients
-
1 cup high-quality apple cider
2 oz. amaretto (Gullo prefers Luxardo)
Whiskey-spiked whipped cream (recipe below)
Cinnamon, to garnish
Whiskey-Spiked Whipped Cream
1 cup heavy cream
1 dash vanilla
1 hefty splash whiskey—American, Irish, or even Canadian!
Sugar or cane syrup, to taste
Preparation
Add cider to a saucepan and warm it over medium heat.
Add to a glass with amaretto, and garnish with whipped cream. Top with a light sprinkle of cinnamon.
For the Whiskey-Spiked Whipped Cream:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk or shake in a shaker tin until the cream forms light peaks. (Makes enough for 4 drinks)
