At Charlotte’s Billy Sunday, a decadent elixir takes note from a favorite Valentine’s Day treat

Sweet pastel hearts, foil-wrapped kisses, and boxes of chocolate might be enough to charm your special someone, but a healthy glug of bourbon wouldn’t hurt. For Annie Stevenson of Charlotte’s Billy Sunday, the marriage of her favorite liquor and a chocolate, fruity dessert is a heavenly match. “When I think about flavors that are typically associated with Valentine’s Day, I immediately think of chocolate-covered strawberries,” she says. Her “Love Bomb” cocktail accordingly shakes up strawberry puree, lemon and orange juices, and simple syrup with bourbon and chocolate liqueur, resulting in a decadent, rose-colored potion.
