Bubbles with a Bourbon Kick

When only the heavy artillery will do

A man pours sparkling wine into a glass

Bright, effervescent, and just a touch Southern, the Howitzer gives classic bourbon a celebratory twist. Blade and Bow’s smooth Kentucky Straight Bourbon lays a warm, oaky foundation for the tart snap of fresh lemon and the mellow sweetness of simple syrup. A few dashes of peach bitters nod to orchard fruit at the height of summer, while a splash of sparkling wine lifts the whole affair into party territory. Finished with a fragrant lemon peel, it’s a cocktail that feels both refined and a little bit reckless.
