Do you know what happens when you take a beloved dessert and introduce it to bourbon? We all fall in love. This boozy milkshake is the ultimate dessert indulgence, so it must be slowly savored. I was so smitten at my first sip that I decided the BAPM would be the only dessert-booze combo in my life. Sure, I was curious to conduct further experiments, but I knew I had to draw the line somewhere.

Ingredients

  • Bourbon Apple Pie Milkshake

    • 1 pint vanilla ice cream

    • ½ cup canned apple pie filling

    • ⅔ cup whole milk, plus more if needed

    • 1½ oz. bourbon

    • 6 whole vanilla wafers, plus ¼ cup crushed wafers

    • Store-bought caramel sauce, for topping

Preparation

  1. Combine the ice cream, pie filling, milk, bourbon, and whole vanilla wafers in a blender and blend until smooth. (Alternatively, you can use an immersion blender in a sturdy quart-size container.) If the mixture is too thick, add a dash more milk.

  2. Pour into two chilled glasses, top each with half of the crushed vanilla wafers, and drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve with a tall spoon or a straw.
