Since opening in 2017, the spacious, multifunctional Jones Assembly has become a dining and entertainment hotspot in downtown Oklahoma City. Located in the West End along the historic Film Row, the 20,000-square-foot, two-story venue is known for its industrial-chic vibes, happy hour–friendly patios, and live music scene (Marty Stuart and Orville Peck are just two of their headliners this summer).

Jones’s eclectic brunch and dinner menus feature wood-fired pizzas and regional favorites like chilaquiles breakfast burritos, candied bacon, and made-from-scratch biscuits topped with honey butter. Thirsty patrons can peruse the extensive collection of craft beers or choose an inventive cocktail created by beverage director Charles Friedrichs. One of his latest concoctions is the Porch Swing, which marries the Southern flavors of bourbon and tea, coupled with fruity splashes of Pimm’s, pear brandy, peach schnapps, and lemonade.

“The cocktail was inspired by the ritual of relaxing on a patio with a drink in hand, which in the South is typically iced tea or bourbon,” Friedrichs says. “I’ve been playing around with the classic build of the Pimm’s Cup and thought it would be a fun opportunity to bring together the two great lovers of tea, the Brits and Southerners.” The result is a refreshing beverage that’s perfect for sipping on a hot summer day.
